There is so much to admire in the photograph -- the colors, the motion of her feet and fingers, the sense of happiness .... And your poem conveys this all perfectly.
If that picture doesn't say "happy" I don't know what does! I remember being that way anytime we went to the beach, the careless abandon with which children fling themselves at the waves, the giggles and glee. Ah, to be young again!
Having been a child, (I still am at heart), and a Dad and a Grandpa, I know too well the excitement of a child near water. Looks like this one is ready to check out the water with her toes. If it's tolerable, the bottoms of those shorts bill be wet before long. You captured it all with the photo and more of it with haiku. Wonderful.
