hidden in
shadows
elusive truths
lie in wait
on the quest for
light
on the quest for light
paths to follow
may deceive.
wrinkles in the
soul
wrinkles in the
soul
smoothed
by promise of belief
hidden in
shadows

Oh Karen this is exquisite...the rhythm of your poem and the rhythm of shadow and light across the road are in synchronicity...this makes me think of a zen koan...elusive circles the mind spins trying to understand what is beyond comprehension.
ReplyDeleteYour natural and beautiful poem fits so perfectly with the image. I also love the repetition and flow throughout the piece.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this wonderful contribution to OSI! Your thoughts and the image are wonderful.

Hi Karen, thank you for this nice prompt. I love those hiding places, those wrinkles in the soul. Goodness knows we most all have plenty of those. I have some that I would like to stay hidden [:)].
