Aroma

Chocolate Chai Tea

steam rising
 in shimmering ribbons
carrying with them
a divine essence
that permeates the air

 just a whiff
of this aroma's float
rouses the desire
inculcating need
as the scent is savoured

 fragrant wafts
spicy, sweet and pungent
saturate senses
 thoughts drift on vapours
deliciously intoxicating

  1. You brought out the richness of chai tea in this poem. It's one of my favourite indulgences too.
