sweet girl
smacks a big sloppy kiss
on my cheek
as her arms circle my neck
a sticky residue remains
to mark the spot
where love is planted
candy kisses

Today is the last for writing small stones. When I took up the challenge at the start of the month, I wasn't sure if I would be able to complete it. Well, here we are the end of the month and I am happy to say that I did!
For me this exercise has opened up a new avenue for expression. My love of photography has allowed me to capture small moments in time that have spoken to me on some level. Writing has now afforded me the chance to elaborate on many more of those moments, photographed or not.
Thanks to all who have followed me on this journey, supported me, and encouraged me along the way.
To all of those who tossed their stones in the river along side mine, I say a heartfelt Bravo! We did it!

by writing a small stone every day for the month of January.
A *small stone is a very short piece of writing that precisely captures a fully-engaged moment.

I dare to say, that just reading what you write without seeing the photos first.... that writing reveals that you have a natural eye for photos :o) Have enjoyed reading your small stones
ReplyDeleteMost of the best things in life seem to leave a lasting impression... sticky or otherwise.
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed been so nice to meet you in the river. I will keep in touch and I am going to look into some of the prompts you take part in. Congrats on splashing in the river!!
Just a guess, might she also own a red dress? Great images and feelings you created with your writing.
